Mitä kaikkea Staabin hallitus oikein tekee? Vai tekeekö mitään? Millaisia dokumenttejaa kulissien takana valmistellaan? Entä mitä syyskokous pitää oikein sisällään?
Näitä ja muita kysymyksiä päästään miettimään Miksei hallitus tee mitään? -keskustelutilaisuudessa 28.10. Syyskokous on pitkä ja asiantäyteinen, jonka takia haluammekin tarjota jo etukäteen tilaisuuden päästä kysymään, keskustelemaan ja vaikuttamaan Staabin vuoteen 2026. Keskustelutilaisuudessa käydään läpi syyskokouksen dokumentteja, eli toimintasuunnitelmaa, talousarviota, kestävän kehityksen suunnitelmaa, jatkuvan toiminnan suunnitelmaa sekä sääntömuutoksia. Lisäksi aikaa on varattu myös muille mietteille, murheille sekä kysymyksille Staabin toimintaan liittyen, tervetuloa mukaan!
Toimintasuunnitelma on syyskokouksessa hyväksyttävä dokumentti, joka viivaa tulevan vuoden keskeiset kehittämiskohteet ja tavoitteet.
Talousarvio on syyskokouksessa hyväksyttävä dokumentti, joka asettaa talouden raamit tulevalle vuodelle.
Jatkuvan toiminnan suunnitelma on dokumentti, joka kertoo yhdistyksen joka vuosi säännöllisesti toistuvasta toiminnasta.
Kestävän kehityksen suunnitelma on dokumentti, joka ohjaa toimijoita siitä miten kestävän kehityksen teemat tulee toiminnassa huomioida.
Yhdistyksen säännöt ovat yhdistyksen toiminnan peruspilari, jotka kuvaavat Staabin toiminnan ydintä ja joita tulee kaikessa toiminnassa noudattaa.
Hallitus ja toimihenkilöt ovat työstäneet jokaisesta ohessa mainitusta dokumentista version, jotka ovat parhaillaan kommenttikierroksella 14.10.-28.10.2025. Kommenttikierros ei kuitenkaan aina avaa kaikkia ongelmia, tai tarjoa mahdollisuutta keskusteluun teemoista.
Miksei hallitus tee mitään? -keskustelutilaisuudessa jokaisella on mahdollisuus kertoa ja kysyä kaikesta siitä, mitä kommenttikierros ei välttämättä mahdollista. Tapahtuman keskiössä on kysymys siitä, mitä staabilaiset odottavat ja toivovat Staabilta vuonna 2026.
Byrokraattisen kuuloisista dokumenteista ja nimestä huolimatta tapahtuma on rento ja avoin keskustelutilaisuus, jonne toivomme mahdollisimman monen osallistuvan matalalla kynnyksellä. Tapahtumassa on myös pientä tarjottavaa sekä virvokkeita tarjolla. Tapahtumassa ja keskustelussa tulee noudattaa TREYn turvallisemman tilan periaatteita.Tapahtumassa on tarjoiluja, kuten pizzaa ja virvokkeita. Tilaisuuteen ei ole ennakkoilmoittautumista, mutta tarjoiluissa huomioidaan yleisimmät ruoka-aineallergiat ja erityisruokavaliot.
Tapahtuma ei ole täysin esteetön. Tila sijaitsee Pinni B:ssä ja sinne on fyysisesti esteetön kulku. Tilaan ei kuitenkaan ole opasteraitaa. Samasta rakennuksesta tilan kanssa löytyy inva-WC. Tilaan pääsee hissillä, ovella on muutaman sentin kynnys.

Mitä tehdä, jos näet tai koet epäasiallista käytöstä Staabin toimintaympäristössä?
– Tapahtumissa häirintä-, kiusaamis ja epäasiallisissa tilanteissa yhteyshenkilönä toimivat palautetyöryhmän jäsenet. Palautetyöryhmään kuuluvat puheenjohtaja Magdalena Honkasalo, koulutuspoliittinen vastaava ja varapuheenjohtaja Veera Saukkonen, tuutor- ja yhdenvertaisuusvastaava Sallamari Roti ja yritys- ja työelämävastaava Tomi Pirinen. Mikäli palautetyöryhmän jäseniä ei ole paikalla, voit ottaa yhteyttä muuhun hallituksen jäseneen.– Tapahtumien jatkoina olevat baarit eivät kuulu Staabin viralliseen toimintaympäristöön, jolloin häiritsevästä käyttäytymisestä tulee ilmoittaa ensisijaisesti ravintolan henkilökunnalle.– Tapahtuman ulkopuolella voit ottaa yhteyttä tukihenkilöön. Staabin tukihenkilöinä toimii Selma Murtonen ja Anni Kalmari. WHY? The Autumn Meeting is approaching — what does it bring with it? What will the upcoming year look like, and what has been accomplished during the past year?
HOW MUCH? Free of charge!
WHAT’S AVAILABLE? Snacks and good discussion!
What exactly does Staabi’s board do? Or does it do anything at all? What kinds of documents are being prepared behind the scenes? And what does the Autumn Meeting actually include?
These and many other questions will be explored at the Why Doesn’t the Board Do Anything? discussion event on October 28. The Autumn Meeting is long and full of content, so we want to offer an opportunity beforehand to ask questions, discuss, and influence Staabi’s activities for 2026. During the discussion, we will go through the Autumn Meeting documents — the action plan, budget, sustainable development plan, continuous activity plan, and proposed rule changes. There will also be time for other thoughts, concerns, and questions about Staabi’s operations. You are warmly welcome!
The action plan is a document approved at the Autumn Meeting that outlines the key development areas and goals for the coming year.
The budget is a document approved at the Autumn Meeting that sets the financial framework for the upcoming year.
The continuous activity plan describes the association’s annually recurring activities.
The sustainable development plan guides members on how themes related to sustainability should be taken into account in operations.
The association’s rules are the foundation of Staabi’s operations, defining its core principles and practices that must be followed in all activities.
The board and officers have prepared draft versions of each of the above-mentioned documents, which are currently open for comments from October 14 to October 28, 2025. However, the commenting round does not always reveal all issues or allow open discussion on the themes.
At the Why Doesn’t the Board Do Anything? discussion event, everyone will have the chance to ask questions and share thoughts about everything that the comment round may not cover. The event focuses on what Staabi members expect and hope for from Staabi in 2026.
Despite the bureaucratic-sounding documents and title, the event is meant to be relaxed and open for everyone to join — we hope as many members as possible participate with a low threshold! There will also be snacks and refreshments served. The discussion will follow TREY’s safer space principles. The event will include offerings such as pizza and soft drinks. No pre-registration is required, and common food allergies and dietary restrictions will be taken into account in the catering.
The event is not fully accessible. The room is located in Pinni B and has a physically accessible entrance, but there are no guiding strips leading to the room. An accessible restroom is located in the same building. The space can be reached by elevator, but there is a small threshold of a few centimeters at the door.

What to do if you see or experience inappropriate behavior in Staabi’s operating environment?– For incidents of harassment, bullying and inappropriate situations, members of the feedback team are the contact point. The feedback team consists of Magdalena Honkasalo, Veera Saukkonen, Sallamari Roti, and Tomi Pirinen. If the members of the feedback group are not present, you can contact another board member.– Bars that are continuations of events are not part of Staabi’s official operating environment, in which case disturbing behavior should be reported primarily to the restaurant’s staff.– Outside the event, you can contact a support person. Staabi’s support persons are Selma Murtonen and Anni Kalmari. The support person handle contacts outside the events and are best reached on Telegram @selmisss and @annikalmari or by e-mail tukiselma@staabi.fi and tukianni@staabi.fi.– If you wish, you can also contact TREY’s harassment contact person by email, phone or using TREY’s harassment form. Contact information can be found on TREY’s website.– You can also report disruptive behavior via the harassment form found on Staabi’s website. Harassment forms go to the equality officer and can only be read by the equality officer.
Experiences are individual and measures are case-specific. Every contact is treated confidentially and further measures are taken only with your consent. Found items from Staabi’s events are stored for three months after the event, after which they are disposed of using recycling opportunities. Valuables are delivered to the police.
